What Hammersfan Got Right!
I said months back when they were bottom that Wolves were too good to go down. And so it has proved.
I said Blackburn had accumulated too many points to be sucked down. And so it has proved.
I said 40 points was the minimum requirement to stay up. And so it has proved.
After their League Cup victory, I warned Birmingham might pay a heavy price for that triumph. And so it has proved.
I said throughout the season that Blackpool would go down. And so it has proved.
I said before Christmas that we would go down. And so it has proved.
And I said that Grant was not the reason. 0-3 at home to Sunderland. Blame that one on Grant guys!

Next manager Alex McLeish?
How about the far longer list that you didn't get right HF? And most importantly, the one about "trust in Grant and we will be saved!"?
I don't think I ever said that Sav. You were lambasting me in December for giving up too early. Want me to find your attack on me for not being a West Ham fan because I called it as I saw it. My position was always that Grant had inherited a mess. No Grant today and we were worse than ever. Kind of blows a hole in your theory that he was to blame. Sale of Collins, Etherington, Zamora, Paintsil and Konchesky has cost us. Of that lot, only Konch has ended up in a lower league position than we have.
LOL Marty. I remember Sav, amongst others, singing McLeish's praises in relation to Grant after the League Cup semifinal. He aint looking too brilliant now is he?
can anyone confirm what i have read on another web site that BOTH Ba and Hitz have clause's in their contracts to leave for FREE following relegation ???
I dont have our board down for being stupid BUSINESS men....but this, for me, would be the end of any faint hope our board is right for west ham.
Hahaaahaaa! You have some balls giving yourself an ego massage in public after your backing of Grant HF!
Just from that perverse support of Grant, everything you say on here, all the judgments you make will be suspect and will have to be called into question. There has to be a question mark over you if you're that stubborn, and that wrong about someone for so long when he was quite clearly utterly useless. Sorry mate, but that one thing eclipses all of "What Hammersfan Got Right".
"After their League Cup victory, I warned Birmingham might pay a heavy price for that triumph. And so it has proved."
Hold on a minute. Wasn't you laudng Grant for his cup runs and saying how good it was we were getting so far in cups? So a cup triumph would have been bad for us then? The cup wasn't good for us then? Contradiction HF?
"And I said that Grant was not the reason. 0-3 at home to Sunderland. Blame that one on Grant guys!"
Then you say......
"My position was always that Grant had inherited a mess. No Grant today and we were worse than ever. Kind of blows a hole in your theory that he was to blame"
So it goes without saying that today's mess was inherited by Keen from Grant? Thank you HF.
well, i cant say today's 0-3 is because of Grant's mess, can i? one game after his department doesnt prove/disprove anything
what is important is, Grant has a full year, including pre-season, a winter transfer window, to fix the mess, and he failed miserably
Erm, wasn't it you that said Grant was a good manager?
You so did say trust in grant and all will be well.
Never liked McLeish or the Birmingham style of playing football. All I said was that he outsmarted Avram Grant at least twice in critical games this year.
I think it would be a grave mistake to go for him by the way. Perhaps not as bad as employing Avram Grant in the beginning of last year but still quite the wrong decision for West Ham.
Ancelloti and ONeill would be by picks but I don't think there is much chance of that happenning as they would surely demand keeping our best players and investing in some new ones. That wouldn't fit with I am afraid the owners have in mind. Moreover, Ancelloti is not British!
As for your conclusion that because we have lost 3-0 today that means that Avram Grant was a positive influence on the club, it is just typical of how you use information selectively to support your flawed positions. Please don't start about how AG was better than Zola and that bull****. WE ARE RELEGATED - LAST IN THE TABLE - BY A MARGIN OF 7 POINTS. That is all the evidence I need.
blimey, you really do need that padded cell! knob.
You won't believe this...
Just heard on the grapevine
Ince - manager
Martin Allen - (no 2)
Julian Dicks - coach.
Rubbish! you said Trust in Grant, again and again and again.
No wonder your piece on the grantzola index is taking so long for you to write - you've a hell of a lot to wriggle out of. As Sav so rightly states its a much longer list than the list of your correct "predictions"
If you are that smart HF tell us who the next manager will be, and if we will get automatic promotion next season. Those are the matters that interest us,
Sullivan & Gold really know how to pick managers...
El Martillo - McLeish now backed down to 13/8 with Skybet. Sounds like you've had a big punt.
HF - Not that confident McLeish is the right man but I think he will be SuGo's preferred choice. Big Fat Sam would be our best hope.
He would sort out the team... and the owners.
Kevin Keen has not enhanced his chance today.
Do check the history please. Trust in Grant? I said we were down in December!
McLeish has now been relegated twice with Brum. I cant see that as an inspiring choice.
If their attempts to lure O'Neill fail, then it will be Hughton as the backup.
Sav, where did you hear Ince? I cant see that at all.
Perhaps we have misunderstood HF but the underlying message in your blogs was to "Grant" the man a chance. He had a big job on his hands sorting out the mess left by Zola.
Well, we finished rock bottom 7 points adrift of safety. It is difficult to see how Zola could have done any worse.
But you say no, what could he do with the shambles of a squad he inherited. He tried to sort that out by buying a new team:
Boffin, Jacobsen, Bridge. Read, Barrerra, O'Neill, Hitz, Obinna, Piquionne, Keane and Ba.
Surely with this lot and Zola's misfits a top ten finish was not unrealistic?
No he said, it takes time - but no one told that to Hodgson or Dalglish.
Well on a better note let's hope some of the other predictions are right.
Parker's pirouettes, we were told were more suited to the dance floor than the football pitch. Footballer of the year? We were quoted the stats. proving how unjust was that award, and the Board were urged to sell him quickly. Who would want to buy him - Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs? Surely not.
Calamity Green - after the expert analysis on this blog he surely won't be able to get another job.
We might be left with a decent team in the Championship after all.
No, more likely HF has got it badly wrong.
Turds Out - Nice one.
Is that what HF said, or what Grant told the Thai girl in the massage parlour?
Either way the result is the same. We got screwed..
Dave, I did not write that post. It was someone pretending to be me. I have not heard anything about Ince and I very much doubt such a development. Ince is one of the most hated/disliked ex-West Ham players ever!
However, I now understand why Ancelloti hinted about being interested in managing West Ham next year. This this quote from a report on his dismissal:
"[Ancelloti] is expected to collect compensation to cover the remaining 12 months of his three-year contract, worth around £6m. However, it is understood that Chelsea may attempt to work a clause into Ancelotti's compensation package that prohibits him from managing another Premier League club."
That should explain his interest. It is a perfect match for him. He can collect his compensation and still have job in England next year!
DoubtingThomas - very funny, I suspect he's trying to write a watergatesque cover up. "grantzola index - how HF got it right" I can't wait to see it.
.....and yes it does seem to be taking him rather a long time to produce. Alas it will be to no avail as we all know what happened to Nixon.
03:13 brilliant
HF you DID repeatedly ask us to trust in Grant which is why this posted has received such heavy criticism.
Stani is obsoletely correct, your continued and stubborn support of the fool that is AG DOES completely and totally eclipse all of "What Hammersfan Got Right".
Come on HF man up - you got it horrendously wrong when it counted... is your ego really that fragile? are you really that stubborn?
I noticed you've done your usual trick and tried to bury this by posting furiously since.
Without wishing to be another person to be rude and unkind to you. I am sure you write this sort of thing to antagonise.
But I just can't understand what you get out of it. Surely the people who come here should be informed and perhaps even entertained by your words.
I think you insult your readerships intelligence a lot of the time with your superior, stubborn and self-righteous attitude.
Hear Hear AJ
AJ, What he gets out of it (other than the ego stuff) is clicks! Plenty of clicks that make his beloved counter on his webpage go higher and higher!
But Sav - what is the point of that? everyone knows that web counters aren't used these days, as they are meaningless. Web crawlers and there are millions of them, cause counters to click making them very much last century and completely inaccurate - I am sure Stani will vouch for this? - if they had a credibility then surely KUMB, WTID, ORG etc would use them too?
But each time you visit Turds, it goes up another one and that million is getting closer and closer. Who cares if the counters are right. Check out the stats elsewhere which confirm the popularity of the site.
02:53 hahahahahaha excellent! yes surenly HF didn't get that wrong - who would want Parker or Green?
