Christmas Comes Early For Hammers Fans!

So, enough of all this negativity! How can fans of West Ham United complain after the last three games which have seen an incredible 18 goals scored? Most fans around the country would give their right arms for such wonderful levels of entertainment, yet strangely, West Ham fans are complaining! They should get real and be grateful for such riches!

And look at the quality of the team! Parker is nearly in the England squad, Upson is an able deputy for the first choice England centre backs, Cole is a possible member of the squad for South Africa having featured now in a number of England games without scoring and Green, until recently, was first choice for England ahead of an injured 39 year old and a guy who can't get between the Man Utd sticks even when the first choice keeper is out injured! And that's just the England players! Collison and Gabbidon are pushing for inclusion in the mighty Welsh team and Spector stands between England and progress in the World Cup! Add in one cap wonder Julien Faubert and Mexican international Franco and you are surely talking a team that could push for a Champions League place! And we haven't mentioned Jimenez yet. He is an international too you know, though he hasn't been selected too often recently!

And what about the youngsters? Sears and Tomkins? Future giants of the England team, no question! Just like Noble was two years back! And Hines, he's scored for the U21s so he must be a World beater! And Stanislas looks good too doesn't he? Admit it, he does! What a wealth of talent! What a pool of excellence! What an Academy!

And then there is Diamanti! What a player! Just think what he might achieve if Zola ever decides that it might be useful to make an "impact" on the opposition before they score!

Downbeat, disheartened, disenchanted? There isn't a top forward in Europe we aren't linked with signing! And if you believe the press, they are all planning to join us anytime soon rather than the likes of Arsenal! Wages? Who wants wages when you have the opportunity to play for the mighty West Ham United! We won the World Cup in 1966 you know and you only have to go back close on 30 years for the last time we won a domestic trophy! How many clubs have won the FA Cup in the last 30 years? Not that many!

And then there is our brilliant management team: Nani who has brought us Savio, Lopez, Di Michele, Tristan, Diamanti and Jimenez; Zola who is such a nice guy; Clarke who organised the most expensive squad of players ever assembled in British football so effectively that Chelsea didn't concede many goals; and the mighty Scott Duxbury, man of the people who talks to West Ham blogs and reassures us that everything is fine - Ashton is going nowhere, we will not sell him or anybody else to Tottenham and the manager will have the funds to strengthen the team in the key areas already identified. Aaah, such a nice man, he even cuddles associates of Carlos Tevez and agrees to pay Sheffield United £25m to help them through the trials and tribulations of relegation! How can the fans feel down with these top guys in control?

People point to the Premiership table and bleat on about us being in the bottom 4! How negative is that? Why not say, we are not in the bottom three? That's what counts at the end of the day isn't it? Why hark on about the bottom four all of a sudden? We are not in the old Third Division are we! Count your blessings instead of seeing the negatives all the time for pity's sake!

And injuries! All I ever seem to hear about are injuries! Players recover from injuries you know! Dyer is back. Cole will be back. Behrami will be back! Upson will be back. Boa will be back! Noble will be back! Jimenez will be back! And Ashton hasn't retired yet, has he? Faith, that's what we need, faith, not all this doom mongering!

I just wish all those pessimists would pessimist off and support another club! If you want glory, support somebody else because at West Ham, we are not interested in glory! We don't want it, never have, never will do! We know our place. We are the club that lose to Wigan but beat Man Utd! (OK we were unlucky yesterday!) We are the club that buy badly and sell badly too, but we don't care! We are the club that go five goals ahead against Burnley and then hang on, fearing defeat! We are West Ham UNITED!

So anybody who doesn't like it can piss off see? We don't care if you were born in East Ham. We don't care if you have been a fan of the club all your life. We don't care if you wept when Bobby Moore was arrested and when he died, nor if you can name teams from the 1960s onwards. We don't want you as a fan if you are going to tell us the truth! No, not listening, fingers in my ears, hands over my eyes, La La, La, I can't hear you! I said I can't hear you! We are brilliant! We are not going down! We won't sell anybody in January! All the top strikers are coming to us in the transfer window! La La La. Top half of the table by the end of January! Top four next season! Arab billionaire buying us next week! La La La!

Oh hi Dipsy, Tinky Winky and Po, let's all go down the Castle and talk about what a brilliant season this has been so far!
