Kezman To West Ham

It seems that Mateja Kezman is the latest striking reject to be linked with a move to West Ham. Can't say I'm overly excited by the idea of signing a Paris St Germain reject but I seem to remember him crashing in a couple of great goals during his largely unimpressive spell at Chelsea. Has to be a better bet than Da Costa or Sears surely, and if we can land him on loan until the summer, I wouldn't look this gift horse in the mouth. Sign him, I say, if only as a warm live body to serve as a decoy for Franco!

Apparently he wants to become a monk when he quits footy. Read it a while back so not sure if he's changed his mind.

Some may say not another 30 year old but I think these are the kind of temporary solutions we should, and probably only can go for.

His record at psv was illegally good. Dodgy league I know but putting the ball in the net is putting the ball in the net. It was almost a goal a game. If he does a ¼ of that for us then he's worth it. Plus we have the Zola factor too.

I agree Stani. As Franco shows, somebody who at least knows how to play up front can be invaluable. Mind you, I think we could play either Collison, Stanislas or Diamanti higher. Everton got through most of last season without a recognised striker didn't they?

Last I heard we were after a French second division striker called the warrior.

With that picture and a name like Kateja he sounds like a ninja. 30 seems to be young for a forward at our club, reject? why not let's have him.

I wouldn't mind Diamanti higher but I think we'd then lack that creative spark in midfield because Noble doesn't recognise his role and keeps ending up playing the role Parker and Kovac are there for. Noble should also be playing the Lampard type role. He doesn't get in the box near enough as he should.

I think Stanislas and Collison would have to work on their finishing before they're pushed higher. I do remember these two in particular, wasting a number of chances this season. They're young, no doubt they will sharpen their eye, finishing abilities and their understanding of what a keeper is about to do.
