As the title of this blog says, The Game's Gone Crazy! Since when have Germans failed to score from the penalty spot? Well tonight it happened and with the kid they stole also missing, Chelsea got their just deserts, crashing out of the League Cup on a penalty shoot out. With Arsenal also out and Ferguson pledging to play his Tottenham crushing kids in the semifinal, it looks as if all those millions may yet buy Unreal City a pot to piss in after all - and that's all the League Cup is worth at the end of a day!
As I keep saying on this blog, England are going to win the World Cup! You want convincing? Well when the Germans start missing in penalty shoot outs, you know something remarkable is going to happen!

Bit rich you trying to lecture someone on racism. Wasn't it you who proudly claimed to come from a racist family and used words like"Nigger" and "Wog" on a West Ham Fan site. Bet your new friends weren't aware of that or when you tried to destroy another poster when he confided that he had lost his job. Still operating under the name of others I see "Tom Hanks". Yes I do come from a racist East End family and yes they did use the words "nigger" and "wog", and yes I did admit that on the Org, but in saying that, I was saying that being raised as a racist is not an excuse to be a racist myself. I would not use those words myself but I can quote their use by others so as to make a point and express disapproval. You seem to be unable to make that distinction. I also said that, because of my racist upbringing, I have had to be educated / educate myself not to be racist and I have freely said that we are all, to some extent, racist because patriotism is a form of racism. I will resort to stereotypes about Germans and Argentinians when we play those two nations in World Cup games (typical cheating diving Kraut may well be yelled if a free kick is won on the edge of our box for example) even though I have liked every German and Argentinian I have met. I loath the Italian national team because of their histrionics and cynical tactics but I love Italy as a country and would move their tomorrow if I was better at languages.
Your rant at the end, which I have left for others to read, shows how unworthy you are to comment on the actions of others. I am happy to say that I have NEVER resorted to such juvenile and revolting abuse of anybody.
You seem to think that I am Tom Hanks. I am not. Yes I took issue with Flappers for saying that he would claim benefits rather than accept a low paid job but I would take issue with anybody who says that. I would not pay benefits without somebody putting in an 8 hour shift each day for society: sweeping roads, picking up litter, clearing out canals or whatever. If somebody refuses to do that, they can starve in my book. If they have kids, I would take them into care so they do not suffer from the idleness of their parents. Why should I pay taxes so somebody else can refuse a job and claim benefits instead?
The post was amended because of a crudely racist term aimed at Africans. I am sorry that you take issue with that, I am sure that others who come from the African continent will not share your disapproval.
Good on you HF. I can imagine it being difficult to change your opinion having grown up around that but you have displayed noble characteristics and are clearly a better person for it. God save us all from the ignorance of racism.
Cheers Stani. But as I said on the Org, none of us are every truly clean of racist thoughts because family loyalty and partiotism are expressions of racism in themselves.
How do you feel about the Burka? Personally, I would like to see it banned in Britain. Why? I could pretend it is for the sake of women's rights but I am honest enough to admit that I think it is alien to our culture. Yes we are a multi-cultural society but the burka is a symbol of separation, not of integration. I have the same reservations about any "Orthodoxy". Hessedic Jews worry me too. The bigger the melting pot the better, the more motifs of division, the greater the dangers of race hate. Can a "Christian" society integrate fundamentalist Islam or fundamentalist Judaism? Not from what I have seen I am afraid. That is not racism, I have nothing against Judaism or Islam and consider the Koran a much more intelligent and practical religious book than our Bible, I just don't hold any truck with any form of religious fundamentalism (including Christian) which, by its nature, denies the rights of any other religions to co-exist. I prefer the French model personally, where people can pray to which ever God they wish but where schools and government must, by law, be completely secular. I think the burka has now been banned in France hasn't it? No burkas but handling the ball is ok!

This is the man who started this debate by calling me a racist! I am English, I am "true" in the sense of honest, and I have no problem whatsoever with a multicultural society because there is no such thing as "a true Englishman". We are a mix of Celts, Normans, Angles, Saxons, Romans, Roman mercenaries, Jews, Vikings...and that is just our early history! As a people, we are a million miles away from your Aryan ideal. I have a Jewish great grandmother and a niece who has a very dark skin colour and a unique birthmark that reveals a blood line tracing to a region close to the Black Sea. My wife's family are either Italian or Albanian by origin, which makes my children quite an ethnic muddle. I don't want Islam changing my country and do believe that cultures should blend, not live side by side, but, apart from that, I have no problem with immigration whatsoever. Dear God, until recently, all three of my tenanted properties had foreign national tenants!

In all honesty, I think people should be able to wear whatever and as much as they like just like those that wear whatever and as little as they like. I think the burka can be integrated into our society if people understood its purpose. Unfortunately, too many people like our friend above read the sun newspaper and believe it.
Would my wife wear a burka? No, but I wouldn't mind her wearing a scarf. This would be her choice and any government being involved in this choice is going too far I think.
All fundamentalism is wrong and shouldn't be integrated anywhere. I truely believe if people really followed their faiths then they wouldn't hate those of other faiths. But, what has man touched that he hasn't f***ked up?
