Okay, in my match report I concede that picking a Man Of The Match for the Sunderland game was difficult, but what, exactly, did Behrami do to win the award? He forced a save out of Gordon with that shot from the edge of the box and he helped protect Spector at left back but what else did he do?
He ran around a lot! Like he always does! He went to ground as soon as an opponent got within a yard of him. Like he always does! But what else?
Did he break beyond Cole just once in the game? No. Did he have a shot from inside the box? No. Did he put in any great tackles? No. Did he put in a single cross from the flank? I can't think of one. Did he play a single killer pass? No. Did he play a single forward pass to a team mate? Maybe, but I can't remember one. He spent the whole game receiving the ball, running head down, getting challenged and falling to the ground.
Man of the Match? Man of which match exactly?

Disagree, I think Behrami put in a really good performance.
He is one of those players, like Lucas Neill, that fans don't appreciate until they have gone.
Noble also put in a lot of effort and I would have been happy for him to have won man of the match too.
His work rate and running is outstanding and if you surrounded him with better players he would look better as he would be involved in more goals. Don't forget he was played out of position on the left midfield, when right or central is where he played before joining West Ham.
Unfortunately as he was signed under the biscuitman era he will be off at the end of the season and I have no idea how he can be replaced.

Disagree also,he did not stop,got smashed all over the park.Our team has been dreadful in the last 1/3 of the pitch for years.We really miss Lucas Neil's passing from the back even if he was slow for prem standards.Shame parker cannot score otherwise he would be on par with anyone in England.Noble worked his socks off,even if he is far from his best and Faubert was very good.Specs was a little out of sorts but can easily play much better.Cole has a torrid time with balls always being fired into his chest with two defenders him,and his touch and turning is still missing

Personally, I'd have given it to Parker for having such a positive influence even when not playing.
Fair shout. But on that basis, surely Mido deserves it for not being there to miss the only real chance we created in 90 minutes!

I thought Noble just shaded it although he still looks a shadow of the Noble from a couple of seasons ago!

I actually did keep that in mind HF but since the award is a bottle of bubbly and not a donnor kebab, and the fact that Mido's not allowed to drink, I gave it to Parker.
it is one thing somebody making a judgement error at the time of the match, but with time to reflect and think, no sane person would award MOTM to behrami. no worse than most, but miles from the structured play of noble and perhaps a word for the hardworking non footballer, cole. behrami is effective when surrounded by good players ahead of him, as he breaks down moves and could release the ball quickly to others, but there is really no point for his limited skill in a struggling team.
I think he provides good screening for a suspect defence mate but, as I've always maintained, he offers little or nothing in the attacking third. Ideal for a 5 man midfield with two attacking midfielders but Savio, Jimenez and Diamanti were not up to doing that job so all Nani / Zola's plans were undone! Trouble is, there never has been a plan B!
Yes, agree, in a strong midfield his obvious limitations would still be quite useful. But, we need a more complete midfielder, someone who is good on the ball.
