We are continually being told on here that we have lost our last six games, and whilst that is true we have to remember that includes defeats at The Emirates, Stamford Bridge and Old Trafford.
I for one didn't expect anything for those three games..... and for me that puts defeats against Stoke, Bolton and Wolves in to slightly less of a hysterical perspective.
I don't believe for a moment that we'll go down even if we lose at Goodison, but knowing fanno he is relishing that prospect with a headline of doom and gloom ready and waiting to be used.
I don't deny that 35,000 fans are hacked off - but we all know how a win can change that... even a well played draw can put a smile on the face of most hardened cynics
Anfield is a tough call - but I believe games against Sunderland, Wigan and even Fulham are winnable. Hopefully Man City will really depend on whether they've held on to their top four position or have blown it by the time that game comes around.
We should have faith, we should believe and not chose the cynicism, despair, misery, desolation, hopelessness, depression and doubt that is so rampant on this blog.
The owners have chosen to keep Zola - they have experience and I'd like to think they know what they're doing as I really don't think it's such a big ask to get behind the team and the management - what other choice do we have? pessimism and negativity is so unattractive and is the easier option.
With Green, Upson, Parker and Cole we are much better than Hull City and Burnley. I just pray that Ilunga and Collison make their way back sooner than later......
More belief from the fans and less washing of the laundry in public by the owners and I for one know we'll stay up.

Remember in that defeat at the Emirates we were playing against 10 men for 45 minutes and benefitted from the award of a dubious penalty! Wolves nearly got a draw with their 10 men against 11!
The three defeats at home to Bolton, Wolves and Stoke were catastrophic setbacks. Until then, everybody was saying, our home games will keep us up. We are now down to two winnable home games only, and Sunderland have come good! Fulham away? I think Fulham will be keen to spank our arses now, don't you?
Faith is all very well but how about a dose of reality? Even Jesus cried out, "Oh Father why have you forsaken me?" when on the cross. I think we are nailed well and truly to the cross, the thunder clouds have rolled overhead, and I believe we are right to be crying out in anguish. If the Son of God can do it, why can't we? Zola keeps on about faith and praying. I'd prefer sound tactics and winning personally!

Positivity is all very well, but mindless positivity isn't. Fact is, if we continue to play the way we have done for the last six games, we will lose our next six games and get relegated. That is why a lot of people like Hammersfan are screeching and screaming for change. RELEGATION should not be a possibility with players like those you mentioned, but in fact at the moment it's become rather more than a possibility.
Spot on Luke. Closing your eyes and praying doesn't work when you are sitting on a railway line and a train is thundering towards you at 80mph!
If positive thinking was enough, we would be challenging for the League! Unfortunately, we are in mass denial. It permeates from the owners down to the manager, the coach, the players and of course, most of the fans. Positive thinking can be helpful, but it cannot replace the need to do things right on the field. When this is not happenning, things have to change. There is not way round it. The only difference is that if you realise this early, you may save the club from going down. The sad thing is that even now, Zola keeps saying that he believes he is doing nothing wrong and will continue like this until the end or until his luck changes. This guy still thinks that he lost to Wolves, Stoke and Bolton (and the other games) because he was unlucky!!! Sorry, we lost those games because we were abysmally bad, disorganised and lacking leadership. Luck had very little to do with it.
I think the reality is all about matching Hull and Burnley for points.
Our Goal Difference is so far superior that it's worth an extra point.
We don't need to win any particular game to stay up, both Burnley and Hull are on free fall. It's quite feasible they fail to win another game.
Usually one team at the bottom is cut loose with such a pathentic amount of points, that saftey often mean 38pts to 43pts. As Portsmouth have done so well (minus the 10 deduction) I think this year safety could be achieved with something like 33 to 36 pts.
Thats something like a win and 3 draws or 2 wins.
It's probably worth doing th maths but I don't think it's as desperate as us fans make out.
Hull play Burnley mate! We need Burnley to win that! Hull also have a much easier run in. At home, roared on by their fans, I reckon they will win 2. We need to win at least 2 therefore. Wigan and Sunderland at home? Our record at home to Wigan is poor. Sunderland are playing well. Fulham away? Usually a happy hunting ground but Fulham will want to stuff us now!
Just don't see how 'more belief' from fans will help very much. You talk about Upson, Cole, Green, Parker being 'much better' than Hull or Burnley playres; again, on the evidence of this season, I don't see that they are.
The advantage of these supposedly inferior teams is that they do play as a team, like Wolves & Hull did, and they have one or two useful players, as opposed to high profile earners. Having said all that, I don't see WH beating Sunderland anytime soon, and Fulham away will also be hard. But with a bit of so-called luck - others losing - we may just stay up, 4th from bottom. Which is about what they just about deserve - players, management and owners.
So that's agreed then 2 wins should do it, or 1 win and 3 draws!
I wouldn't like to predict it, some 6 pointers for Wigan and it could easily be them down.
