Brady Has Another Stab at Grant

Writing in her "diary" in The Sun, Queen Karren has had another dig at Avram. Explaining why the players were "bonding" so close to home, she writes, "Our plan to send the players on a warm-weather break collapsed because the management couldn't find anywhere warm."

Now what sort of cnut does that make Grant look exactly? True it is a bit parky in  his native Israel at the moment, and Egypt and Tunisia might be too hot politically, but the Canary Islands would surely have fit the bill and would have suited Avram down to the ground, given all the nudist beaches on Fuerteventura.

This just reads as another attempt to undermine and ridicule the manager to me. I wonder how many knives she has to stick into Grant's back before he falls to the ground complaining "Et tu again Tutsi?"

She's definitely still seething. But I guess it's their own fault for appointing him in the first place.

Hang about - I didn't think you wanted them to go bonding... you're confusing me.

No problem with a training camp in the sun. You know, with training facilities and football pitches, the sort of place England take players to ahead of tournaments. It is clay pigeon shooting and go-karting I object to.

I once had a manager who had two stocks phrases, "YOU cocked that up!" and "WE did that very well!"

I've been on loads of business bonding / team building sessions and they work very well - our company achieved growth of 15% last year...

How's a "warm-weather break" changed in to a "a training camp in the sun"?

Wow that's proof then! Go-Karting or training? Go-Karting obviously!

Team building sounds good to me, much better than a warm weather break.

2154, that's because you are too dim to see how you can combine training with a warm weather break. Well run clubs and international teams take a break, in the sense that they up sticks to a training camp abroad.

Spot on 0001!

2149, if the idea was that they lay around on the beach, then that is just as bad as Go-Karting.

By the way, did anybody read the players' tweets about Da Costa eating a two pound steak? Very reassuring to see how seriously they are taking diet at the club! We are SO unprofessional!

You shouldn't eat red meat more than twice a week. Can contribute to cancers of the GI tract and the various organs around it. That piece was huge. Generally speaking, the steak isnt that bad for his diet. Iron for the blood, protein for the muscles. Funny though, he had the chips, steak and onions but left the mushrooms on his plate.

I don,t think Grant needs to be undermined by anyone he is doing a good job of that himself

HF, I can't believe no one has thanked you yet for the fantasic bottom. Apparently I'm the only Hammers fan in Abu Dhabi tonight as I've been kicked out of the Sportsbar at 3-0 only to come back to my room and find your picture whilst "listening" to BBC text and news of our fourth goal. So, as I write Burnley have got one back but all in all, bottom and all a pretty good evening.
