The Grass Is Greener At Chelsea For Rob

The hilarious performance of Hilario at the Bridge yesterday surely rubber stamped Green's exit visa from Upton Park. Cech has been inconsistent since that head injury and his replacement is clearly not up to the required standards. Chelsea have to source a new keeper and Green is the obvious choice, given he can be picked up inexpensively because Duxbury chose to offer a contract extension to Ashton rather than to our England stopper.

I don't know much about Lewis, his mooted replacement, except that he has shipped lots of goals for Peterborough so far this season. Do we need a young keeper with lots of potential, or a gnarled old pro? For keeper, I'd go for experience personally.

JOE HART is a promising young goalie that looks the business. No idea what MAN CTY would want for him but he is currently on loan at BIRMINGHAM.

Too much unless City are prepared to loan him again. Upson to City and Hart on loan for a season as part of the deal? Possibility.

Why don't we just do an UPSON plus cash deal for HART?

I should have said HART plus cash for UPSON.

Is it possible as Hart has already signed on for another season at Birmingham.

Green, Upson and Cole make England squad! would be good to see Cole get 90 minutes

....Terry's performance was even more hilarious...or to keep up with you HF, Terry's was terrible since Hilario's was hilarious :)

Essex, If Dux had still been there it would have been Upson plus cash....!

Ahh I see so the Chelsea reserve keeper has a mare so that inevitably leads to a story that Green will be off to Chelsea.

Can I ask what happens to petr Cech when he comes back, does he sit on the bench?

Stupid story, what I can never understand is why our 'supoorters' feel it newsworthy to link outr players to all and sundry with no foundation whatsoever.

The substance in the story lies in the fact that Green can buy out his own contract for just £1.5m in the summer and Chelsea need a keeper.
