Beckham To West Ham Shock!

Would you believe it, David Beckham's agent has come out and said that Beckham is NOT interested in joining West Ham. Can you believe that? The boy who chose Manchester United over his local club as a kid and who has repeatedly said that he could never play for ANY other English team, has turned his decorated back on the opportunity to play in Claret and Blue.

What on Earth can the guy be thinking of? Surely he is not holding the obscene chants of our fans against the club; it was all in good humour David! Surely he doesn't remember our fans hanging that effigy of him after his World Cup sending off? The guys were only have a laugh David. It was only banter mate!

I am at a complete loss to explain this decision. Beckham wants to be a front man of the 2012 Olympics so why on earth isn't he willing to lend his exclusive support to one of the parties bidding to take over the stadium after the Games? I'm sure nobody would see a conflict of interest there!

And then there is the opportunity to play his football in East London! Why, on earth, would the guy prefer LA or Milan to Newham? Posh could buy a lovely tangerine or electric blue sari in Green Street! And I'm amazed that Beck's agent hasn't explained the possible synergies with Posh's career. I mean, Sullivan and Gold could probably offer her a career in modelling or even in films! Why would the Beckhams be reluctant to associate themselves with the two Davids for goodness sake?

My heart goes out to David Sullivan. He keeps trying to bring in these celebrity superstars and keeps suffering knock backs. Still, I'm sure his ears have pricked up at the news that Marlon King has been released from prison and is available on a free!

Why bother with this nonsense?
Why continually dig away at Gold and Sulivan?
What do you achieve with this blog other than have a pop at the people associated with the club?
Is there nothing positive or even informative that you could write?

Isn't it news that Beckham has rubbished the stories that Sullivan has been peddling? Isn't it odd that Beckham's agent has categorically denied ANY link? Don't you think it strange that Sullivan is suggesting that Beckham might join us when the man himself knows nothing of the connection? Doesn't common sense tell you that Sullivan is boosting season ticket sales by keeping us in the media spotlight? I'm not criticising the guy here, you understand, I'm just making observations on what he might just be up to! Who do you think we will be trying to sign next week? Let's see, we've had the Ronaldhino rumour, the Beckham rumour, the Riquelme rumour, the Naymar rumour, the new Messi rumour...have I forgotten anybody? Probably! My money is on a Tevez link anytime soon!

It's a good thing we don't all have heart failure when reading your blogs I find the stories amusing (unfotunately the comments are often purile but there are some gems if you have time to sift through them) Perhaps it is time to just ignore your detractors and those who know nothing of tongue in cheek Less I told you so and more who cares who wants to have a go lets all have a laugh, whatever happened to enjoying the game? the great thing about the chicken run was the fact that everyone took the piss, their players, our players, boards and chairmen all got abused (on the odd occassion players got praise) and we all had a bloody good time win or lose relegation or promotion
You gotta be able to laugh at yourself people and we all know that West Ham are a joke as long as you're a supporter of course anyone else run my club down and there'll be trouble ahead moonlight and roses

Spot on Deane. But in this new era of confrontation, everybody wants to take a hammer to a funny bone!

Beckham has too much class to be associated with these Del-boys. Fernandes says no, Beckham says no. Why is everyone treating Goldstein and Sullivan so bad, they're such nice guys.

It's quite a relief there is nothing to that story. Beckham is one of the most overrated players ever. The English need to have a hero and he plays that role according to the script written by his Cockney wife perfectly. Now if the story about Ronaldhino (or Riquelme) is true then that would be real class added to our team.

What is it with him and the reserves!? His bloody record there is scary but he just vanishes in first team games. He needs to impose himself more.

LOL I'd fancy myself to score against Bishop's Stortford! But still, hopefully it will boost his confidence. It is a looooonnnngggg time since he scored against anybody!

we all know footballers are, how do I put it, not very bright So I suggest they tell Freddy "sorry son you're playing for the reserves Sat" he's runs out at Upton Park "bloody hell there's alot of people for a reserve match" "not to worry son it's only because Beckham (insert any unatainable star) is signing today" "oh ok boss" You see where I'm going with this Freddy in the reserves is always on fire
