Sidwell For Parker

I'm a bit worried about our interest in Sidwell. I have nothing against the guy (his hair apart of course) but he is, at best, a squad Premiership player. Yes he can score from midfield, which is something we need, but he doesn't boss games does he?

What really concerns me is the possibility that we may get him for nothing, as a makeweight for Scott Parker. £10m plus Sidwell, "a player we like and who were were quoted £4m for" may be the "silly money" that Sullivan and Gold are looking for. It would suit Villa and would give S&G a let out they may be grateful for. Watch that space!

i don't think they would sell parker, they know he was the only person that saved the club from relegation and financial meltdown. if they do plan on cutting corners and selling our good players and we end up with a worse squad than last year, then i cant see them selling the only player capable of saving the club 80 million by keeping them up. i think we wil sell behrami and they see him as a cm rather than a winger, might be wishfull thinking but maybe kovac will be out the door aswel, between the two we might raise 8-9mil?

They have already confirmed they will sell him for "silly money". Will turn 30 this year, not good enough for England, poor injury record. £10m plus Sidwell? I can see them taking it and Villa offering it. I would take it actually, if we could get Prince Boateng for £5m.

All this bum licking about Parker is insane. He is a decent player who was voted Hammer of the year because all of the others were absolutely useless.

He doesn't score goals (ok just one or two), he doesn't make loads of goals - he does a good 'Parker' turn though.

If he goes, he goes, so what? I'll still be there cheering his replacement who just may be able to score goals from midfield.

I think Parker's attitude and work rate more than makes up for is lack of goals.

Sidwell is going to be 28 this year so he's not exactly young himself.

It's a question of what you could do with the £10m though Stani, if Sidwell was thrown in for nout.

I know what me and you would do HF....bet it's different to what G&S would do.

They're dodgy traders. Like what they're doing with the Neymar deal?! They wanna buy him cheap and young and sell him for profit after a year. This will do nothing to help our team....specially if he breaks his leg and his career ends after we've wasted £15m on him.

You think someone would pay that much for Parker though?

Come to think about it, I wouldn't mind Reo-Cocker (26) and £10m, seriously.

lol @ if he breaks his leg.

T.I.S, I've done better than that before and I ain't even had a smile from you. You are sober aren't you?

£10million + Sidwell + Reo-Cockup STILL wouldn't be enough for Scott Parker!!
Merely mentioning Sidwell in the same breath as Parker is an affront in itself!
It'll be a very dark day indeed for G&S Independent Traders Ltd if they let SP go for £Peanuts + Snoopy + Charlie Brown!!
NO SALE!

I'm sure I watched West Ham (well alledgely) and I don't remember Scotty being all that good I know he stood head and shoulders above the rest but keep him at all costs I can't see why I'd take the 10mill and buy Kevin Prince for 5 mill Thats good business and also rather have Reo Coker than Sidwell
