Kolarov It! £19m? What a joke!

This is just getting bloody silly. £19m for a left back that I haven't even heard of? I know Man City can spend what the hell they like, but how can this be good for the game? They already have Wayne Bridge, where's the sense in paying £19m for a guy who hasn't exactly been pulling up trees in his career so far?

If I was Martin O'Neill, I would now ask £30m for Milner! Then Villa could pay us £20m for Parker!

Not really silly HF...just good business on Lazio's part! They have just made a fat profit of 21.7m Euros on the 24yr old!!
The thing is, when Sheikh Citeh come calling, clubs know that their transfer kitty is kept in a bottomless pit that's full to the brim, and raise the price-tag way beyond the player's value...then Citeh simply say, 'Yeah, whatever...sign here!'

If I was Martin O'Neill, I think I'd have got the message from David Sullivan by now that he hasn't got enough money for Scott!!

I read it was 14.4m - still a lot of money - but check out some of the goals he's scored here:

jealousy anyone...oh and hardly an unknown quantity when real madrid and juventus were sniffing around him aswell, do your homework...... and just like the famous disney song suggests, a spoonful of sugar, only this time its to get all the BITTERNESS out of your system, like the post above suggests, get on youtube and see what weve actually bought.

and to point out that we already have bridge, well done on your ability to get ONE fact right, but wait a minute, havnt you signed barrera, piquionne and hitlsperger when you already had 3 players in their respective positions already??? surely everyone else is buying to improve their teams but good old city are just buying players because they can. Get a grip you sad west ham fans, your jealousy is losing all your credability.

Actually, your transfer policy has already lost Unreal City all credibility. Touched a nreve? Reckon so! Like Chelsea, you have lost your soul. So what if you buy your way to the Prem title, what will that prove? All very, very sad. Your club is killing the game but what do you care? It isn't jealousy. I'm nervous about the number of foreign players we are signing. I'm an England fan as well as a West Ham fan. The sooner the game finds a way of legislating to prevent ANY team from doing what Unreal City are doing, the better!

Guess how much profit Lazio have made on this guy... 2,000% profit !!!

you havent heard of him yet you say he "hasnt puled up trees" i will let you figure out the contradiction there!

man city can buy anyone and they will until they win the league

Everyone's getting caught up in all the money. There's no control I can have over my team if some rich owners buy the club. I'll still support them if they win 15 Champions League titles on the trot, just as I would still support them if they went non-league. So try & tell me that you'd do it any differently if some anonymous rich owners bought West Ham.

You are right of course, 0431, I would still support West Ham whatever happened but, that would not mean I would not be honest at the same time. I would feel shame and guilt if my club were destroying the game and the England national team, and I would admit to that shame and guilt. I have already said this summer that I am nervous about the number of foreigners Grant is signing. If we fielded 11 foreign players in a game, I would be very critical. I would still want us to win, but I would have reservations about any victory because I would feel it was illicitly gained.

And whilst we are on the subject, maybe we can get rid of all the Eastern Europeans, Somalians and other Africans that are flooding the English labour market with cheap labour.

Hammersfan said...

Again it is a question of balance. Why would anybody give a job to an Eastern European if there was a hard working English alternative? You would have done without the Polish airmen who flew with such distinction during the Battle of Britain presumably? You would have declined the offers of service from Asians and Africans during the Second World War too presumably? You understand why we opened our doors to immigrant labout after the war presumably? You also understand how immigrant labour can help to fund the pension provision of the indiginous population presumably? Presumably too, you understand that our National Health Service depends heavily on immigrant labour too?

As an employer for the last 18 years - I would think very carefully about employing anyone English - they are lazy, sullen and unreliable, they answer you back, turn up late or not at all.

Out of the 100+ staff that I have employed, the 3 staff that I caught stealing were all English. The best staff I have employed have all been European, friendly and happy, reliable and a real pleasure to employ.

This country went to the dogs years ago, too many beer swilling, uneducated moron's who all want to be on Jeremy Kyle or Big Brother. Bring in more foreigners is what I say - it's our only hope as a nation and also our football club.

LOL, I agreed with everything you said, until the last 5 words! I blame the schools.

This blog is a perfect example of how we got here, hf and his parents are obviously narrow minded bigots and if they'd moved with the times like the Germans and Japanese did we wouldn't be in the mess we're in now

What, if my parents had become right wing militaristic fascists in the 1930s?

Anonymous said...

Your parents are that old? you must be 80 if a day then! that I guess explains the bitterness, you probably last got it up some time in the 60's

Hammersfan said...

Not great at Maths are you? My parents were alive in the war, though chidren. My father was in a house in Dagenham that took a direct hit (he was supposed to be safer in Dagenham than in East Ham!) and his cousin was killed by the bomb. My mother was evacuated (from Plaistow) down to Linton and Lynmouth. I am still playing football so can't be in my 80s.

Ah see..... so, your parent were right wing militaristic fascists in the 1930s!
