McCarthy Promises Business

Benni is returning, slimmer, fitter and more determined. The ex Fattoburn Rovers striker has explained how sitting on his arse for a couple of weeks caused him to blow up uncontrollably. It wasn't his fault it seems, it was the injury what done it.

McCarthy explains that he "eats well" but it is unclear if "well" means healthily or lots. My money is on lots! Not good enough to make a poor South African squad, I am certainly not anticipating great things from the bloated one.

But time will tell. Sweepstake on how many goals Benni nets next season? My money is on two!

I am amazed by who hasn't left the Club more than by who hasn't arrived yet. Spector, Gabbidon, Dyer, (I could go on and on) are still there! McCarthy has been eating his way to the World Cup where he was rejected by a very weak South Africa Team as unfit and too heavy. I am sure that if he keeps eating and enjoying himself during the summer we would soon have another case of Kieron Dyer/Dean Ashton in our hands. And yet, no-one is interested in joining a club with no ambition other than cutting down costs and selling players to reduce the debt. As for AG, he is too quiet and conforming from my liking. After all he sustained all the s**t that was going on at Pompey. He is well trained perhaps for the type of manager that the 2Ds need to be at the wheel so that they can execute their hidden agendas. Oops, I am jumping ahead of myself. I promised I would not judge them too soon. But it is really not easy to hold back if one has a brain that tends to see through the veil of s**t they put in front of you. This, I guess, is the main reason HF is getting himself into trouble for most of the time. But someone has to say it. Enjoy the new season everyone. HF keep telling it like it is.

Benni was omitted from the SA squad for breaking the rules ie. he was drinking and partying at 4am with girls in his room so he was dropped along with another member of the squad who was partying with him His beer drinking is out of control not his eating
I will stick my neck out and say 9

How did he get through that door?

That's not you is it HF? Come on now, be honest.

Sav, I'm gonna buy you a Gabbidon shirt ;)

Oh, going on the Stani, I may change my mind about Danny once I wear his shirt. But seriously, whatever you and I think about Gabbidon, I think we should both agree that the new defence should not include the old guard.

Benni Could easily get 10 goals if he gets fit. However that is a big if, also considering his age and declining ability as a result, he might not even get a game if he dosen't get into shape nevermind score.

Sav,
I'd keep DaCosta (still v.young), Gabbidon, Ilunga and Daprela for cover or as 1st teamers. The rest can go. So we'll probably need two centre backs and one or two right backs....plus a keeper. Every player linked with us has been an attacking one though. Strange.

The fact that we seem to be in the market for attackers only worries me too Stani.

Yep, Argentina showed us against Germany that even if you have the best attack in the world, you're nothing without the defence.
