West Ham Win!

OK it was only Posh, and we all know how easy it is to take Posh up the Arse, but a win is a win. Good to see Carlton scoring and great that Hitlersburger supplied the pass. Boa had a run out, Tomkins and Da Costa played, and a bunch of kids were blooded. In fact two different outfield teams were played in each half! Dyer and Ilunga only managed 30 minutes each but apparently that was "planned". Sears came on and didn't score and the same goes for McCarthy - Little and Large play Peterborough!

As the OS says, that was the first away win since we beat Wolves on the first day of last season! Were you watching Zola?

Most significant absentee? A certain Diamanti. Injured? Sulking? On the move?

never read much into pre-season personally, tho good to see CC nd the hit man show well.
It's the next 72 hours and then the exodus (?) that interests me...

Wayne, last time they had an 'announcement', we got Hitzlsperger. I just hope it's not Ben Haim and Piquionne this time around and there's something real behind all this sexing up.

I don't read alot into friendlies, but always nice to get a win and see the Irons winning! Diamanti and Kovac look liek both off to Olympiakos, not sad to see Kovac leave, Diamanti I feel still had soemthign to offer but he's not loss really. Things are actually looking bright! Barrera and Remy if they were to come, I can't help but think we will start to see some West Ham style football back and the Boleyn, good times ahead. COYI

Wayne, I know exactly how you feel mate. I think they're probably going to confirm the signing of Barrera this time around, possibly with one other player. I hope it's a central defender but not lost-my-bearings Ben Haim. He's got women's hips with legs stuffed with chip-rolls and is not very mobile.
