Following the Parker statement, do you remember what was said about Bellamy?

In case you have forgotten, let me remind you what Duxbury said in December 2008 :

"We have received an offer from Tottenham and it has been rejected. They have been told that Bellamy is not for sale." Sound familiar by any chance? And what happened in January?

And what excuse were we given when Bellamy left? I quote Duxbury again, this time in January 2009:

"We refused him permission to talk to Tottenham last week and were determined to keep him despite repeated interested from them and Manchester City."

"However, on Friday he again made it clear to the manager that he wanted to move on. Late on Sunday night, Gianfranco and I met and he said it was in the best interests to accept the player's request to leave and therefore Manchester City's bid."

Hmmm. I wonder if Sullivan is adapting that statement as I type?

"We refused him permission to talk to Tottenham last week and were determined to keep him despite repeated interested from them and Aston Villa."

"However, on Friday he again made it clear to the manager that he wanted to move on. Late on Sunday night, Avram and I met and he said it was in the best interests to accept the player's request to leave and therefore Tottenham's bid."

Welcome to Groundhog Day!

Why are you getting so wound up about this HF, the facts are so simple...

1) DS wants him to stay and doesn't want to sell him, definitely not to Spurs.

2) Parker will go if he wants to go and puts in a transfer request.

3) If you were DS would you really keep a player that tells you he doesn't want to play for your club? Even if it meant that you had to back track on something you had previously said?

4) The whole decision rests with SP so rather than dig at DS perhaps you should start moaning about SP not making a public statement confirming his commitment to West Ham!

For the record, I think SP is loyal and will stay with us so all three of your posts today will hopefully prove academic.

such an idiot, always searching for a conspiracy. Bet he's also got a blog on ufo's

LOL, just as I predicted 1531, you are shifting the blame already! Just as Sullivan planned perhaps?

Anonymous said...

I'm not saying that DS would be blameless but on the flip side do you think that SP would be blameless too if he were to leave?

Why is your premeditated, fortune telling venom about this hypothetical situation only directed at DS and not SP?

Because Parker has not made a statement. Anyway, I'm not having a go at Sullivan, I'm just predicting what is going to happen. Let's see if I'm right shall we?

BREAKING NEWS:

Željko Petrović has been appointed as Assistant Manager to Grant!!

You don't really support West Ham do you.
I reckon they could win the champions league and you'd find a negative amongst all the positives.

I suggest you go back to supporting Tottenham or Millwall, you aint welcome at Upton Park

is that good?

Erm, yes, you're having a go at DS HF...

You're implying that he's a liar and that the SP contract offer and todays OS statement is all an elaborate ruse to generate good PR for the club before SP is ultimately sold at good price.

I would have thought with your cynical logic that Parker's lack of statement would surely translate as intent to leave??

According to a previous blog you said we should sell Parker anyway, so why are complaining about a hypothetical situation which finds him being sold?

pillock! duxbury isn't Sullivan!

and duxbury didn't say “This is a new era. We are building a bigger, better West Ham and when we make a promise, we honour it.”

You now have FIVE "articles" on Parker - even by your standards that is obsessive!

The OS have just confirmed that we have a new Assistant Manager. Not sure if I believe a word of it though...

What do you think HF? Another conspiracy wrapped up in a lie by DS?

HF, you also predicted that England would win the World Cup or did you too leave 'a clever get-out clause', I can't remember and I can't be arsed to look it up.

It's a quiet day for news but you've done this one to death and people are losing interest fast.

Sullivan has made a commitment to the fans and put his neck on the line. That's something we've been crying out for from our owners, ever since I started supporting WH back in the 70s and it's a first time ever.

He didn't have to do that and could easily have said the offer was too good to turn down and Scott has put a transfer request in etc etc! He didn't. He said F*CK OFF TWITCHY & LEVY in a polite but forceful way. I like to see him sticking two fingers up to the Filth. Let's face it they deserve it.

If Scott Parker wants out and is engineering a move then fine but quite frankly, most WH fans wouldn't mind accepting £10+m for Scott. It's quite probable given the statement's strength, that it is exactly what it says on the tin. Our owner is pissed off with Levy and his constant attempts to put us down to stop any chance of WH becoming bigger than them. He's drawn a line in the sand. Good!

It's sad that you only get readers by being controversial HF but you really are losing touch with reality mate. If Sullivan keeps this up there will be nothing for you to moan about and you may as well close the site.

Oh yeh right... I see ....What Duxbury and the old management team had to say 18 months ago is absolutely relevant to what the future holds for us now under the leadership of the two D's. Thanks for illuminating us, insightfull stuff!

I saw my first game at UP from the Chicken Run in 1967.
We lost 2-0 to Sheffield Utd. I cried and cried. As we left the ground an elderly gentleman clad in scarf and Rossette patted me on the head and said " Don't worry son this is West Ham you'll get used to it, but remember we never show the opposition that we're hurting,NEVER.

I guess that stuck with me and I have been a "Happy Clapper" ever since. I will not bad mouth the team I will not Boo a bad performance, and I will support who-ever owns and runs the team, just like tens of thousands of " Happy Clappers" all around this planet.

This forums overwelming negativity spits in the face of the true West Ham supporter.

Time to put up or shut up Trevor. How much do you want to bet that Parker is still a Hammer come the end of August?

John said...

Do you remember what David Sullivan said just after Harry nicked Gudjohnssen from us 'I believe in karma, what goes around comes around', Spurs didn't stand an earthly of getting Parker and I very much doubt that they will ever get any of our players under the present regime.

Just let it go HF. Enough said on this topic. We are all exhausted from this futile discussion. We have agreed to disagree. We will soon know who was right. Please move on to another subject. One which preferably doesn't include the names of Parker and Sullivan in the same sentence. Cheers.
