McDonalds drop the McBenni Burger from their World Cup Menu

McDonalds have announced they are shelving plans for the McBenni Burger after McCarthy was surprisingly dropped from the South African World Cup squad today.

The McBenni World Cup Special was scheduled to be McDonald's biggest ever burger - a five pound mega monster topped with bacon, cheese, kebab meat, beef dripping and a leaf of healthy lettuce. Posters featuring McCarthy tucking into the McBenni under a heading of, "You don't have to be fat to eat a McBenni, but it helps!" are being shredded.

McCarthy is reportedly despondent about his exclusion from the squad, not least because the promotion allowed him to eat as many McBennis as he wanted free of charge. A spokesman for McDonalds said, "We are disappointed obviously as we were confident that the McBenni would be a real winner. But all is not yet lost, we are now exploring the possibility of rebranding the burger as the McLamps."
