It's a bit rough on them after beating nine man Chelsea 1-0 and scoring two goals at home to Man City, but QPR can now feel the pressure of the bottom clubs pressing up through the seat of their pants. Bolton served notice today that they will not sink without trace, whilst Wolves edged to within a point of Warnock's boys.
It's beginning to look as if it could be a right royal scrap to avoid going down along with Wigan and Blackburn. Everton will climb the table and can be discounted and Fulham, West Brom and Stoke have too much about them to finish in the botttom three, which suggests that the three promoted clubs plus Sunderland, Bolton and Wolves could be desperately trying to climb the slippery pole.
Over the season, logic says that the wheels will come off at either Norwich or Swansea, but QPR are a point behind both at the moment and have a dramatically inferior goal difference. With just 3 points separating 18th place Bolton and QPR in eleventh, it threatens to be a humdinger of a relegation scrap again this season!
