Apparently we are interested in Reading's Kebe. You have to ask "Really?" on two counts. Firstly, the guy is very, very, very hit and miss. He is 27 and has achieved nothing in the game to date, managing just 3 caps for Mali! Reading fans regard him as lightweight, a player who lacks heart and desire. He is over six foot, of course, so that's probably why Allardyce fancies him.
Then there is the little matter of the Collison assault. Imagine the frosty atmosphere if Kebe rocked up for training. There's unfinished business between the two of them, and I doubt the rest of the squad have seen the funny side of Kebe's pulling up his socks gesture.
Better than Faubert? Maybe. And that is one damning judgement!
