QPR Sack Warnock and Target Avram Grant

QPR's patience with Neil Warnock has run out and the great motor mouth has been replaced after a disastrous run of games which has seen the Rs collect just one point from the last 21. With relegation fears growing, new owner Tony Fernandes has panicked and sacked the man who led QPR to promotion last season. It is a cruel way to treat one of the game's great controversialists.

Fernandes has yet to announce his preferred candidate, but after leading teams to relegation for two consecutive seasons, whilst operating on a shoestring transfer budget, Avram Grant is thought to be a leading contender for the role. He has, after all, led Chelsea to a Champions League final and that's the sort of future Fernandes envisages for the Hoops - once the little matter of staying in the Prem has been negotiated.

If not Grant, then Mark Hughes may be the man for Fernandes. He didn't do a great job at Fulham and was clearly out of his depth at Man City, but that shouldn't trouble Fernandes. He is a big name and has played football at the highest level so....

....Mind you, Gerry Francis is a former QPR favourite so he might be a popular choice. Or Rodney Marsh. Or Stan Bowles. Or Terry Venables. Or how about Zola?

Dont laugh about Zola. He was a big fan of GZ and said he would have kept Zola had he bought us. I could see that.

2017, gRs have been telling me, "If you watched QPR you would see we are too good to go down". Now you're saying you were playing crap so Warnock had to go!

I think I have had my fill of Hammersfan's infatuation with QPR. I used to put up with questionable topics as they were at least about the Hammers. Bye !

Not sure where you got your info regarding Grant being targetted by QPR, seems like Hughes is the frontrunner with Zola being firmly in the picture aswell.

it's a shame but in all honesty it was probably the right decision. His amazing work will be for nothing if we go down. I think Fernandes can be understood for this decision. god i hope you're joking about avram.

Hughes will be manager and given substantial funds for the transfer window.

Fernandes panicked? He wanted Hughes as a condition of the takeover, but it happened too late. As you pointed out Colin was getting out of his depth, so how is Fernandes panicking? Hughes EPL form stands up well: transfer wise he bought Vincent Kompany and De Jongh among others. A blog without research is just opinion, you need to wise up.

Hughes v Big Sam as manager? I know which one I'd take...
