After the Lord Mayor's Show, it's Birmingham v Blackpool!

Talk about an underbill! After the the hammering of Cardiff yesterday, and with news that Haye and Chisora are about to go toe to toe, machete versus machete at Upton Park - who says Sullivan & Gold have no morals? - it's time for Birmingham and Blackpool to battle out the second leg playoff, looking for the right to steal a place in the Prem that neither team deserves.

I remember the days of the B Movies. I once saw "Cannibal Girls" screened ahead of a horror movie entitled Slithers. It was a shit film, but at least it featured naked lesbian cannibal girls which appealed to a 15 year old boy slipping into X movies. But Birmingham v Blackpool? I think I'll stay home and read a good book thanks very much!

What a pointless post. West Ham should have been promoted as Champions with all the money they've thrown at it and the fact of the matter is that they will lose to Birmingham or Blackpool in the final anyway. West Ham Football Club - another club with heads in the clouds and ideas way bigger than the reality. Must come as part of playing in Claret and Blue

Pointless post? There's two impressive points in the picture!

It was actually called Shivers (the remake was called slithers for some reason?) and sneaking in as a 14 year old I enjoyed those two films :)
Isn't Haye a Millwall fan?

You are right Lee! I've just bought Cannibal Girls on DVD for memory's sake. Already have Shivers and believe me, it is crap! You may remember the warning bell telling you to look away from violent or erotic scenes! Great gag!

Pointless posting as anonymous if you ask me!

Warning bell is in Cannibal Girls, not Shivers!

So at least you've learned to read.Is it book two you are on now?!! Perhaps in another five years you can tackle joined up writing!!

After the 19th your "bubbles" will be well and truly burst and all you will have left is Big Sam's hoof ball!!

Is there any point in anyone winning this game, surely West Ham should just be invited into the Premier League, all other supporters should be invited to Wembley to kneel and offer adulation to the mighty London club that is bigger than Real Madrid if you believe their own self important hype!

Anony-mouse says,

19.49- Are you Blackpool or Brum or someone else entirely?

Two things- you'll hear more than 19 renditions of bubbles that day. No apologies for that from me- it's the best, most evocative, romantic, long-standing football song in existence. Bar none.

Secondly- if it gives you comfort and hope then you keep on believing the 'hoof-ball' stuff. Either you can't have been watching us lately, or you know f*ck all about the game . Either way it doesn't matter- there will be two decent footballing sides at Wembley.

I clicked on this post thinking there might be an interesting comment - instead you get something that might be excusable only from a frustrated 15 year old.
Perhaps thats it - hammers fan = frustrated (in football and everywhere else)!

Hey HF. It is sometime since I visited your site and it seems you are a bit more cheerful these days?

Anyway changing the subject I have checked the "games gone crazy" fantasy league final placings and note Stani finished 3rd and me 4th. Did not spot your team in the top 6?
Hopefully we qualify for the play offs and will be rewarded with Wembley tickets. Two in category 1 would be good. Do you want me to e-mail you my address so you can post?

Cheers

HF, firstly good luck in the play offs, however much i'd love to see Ollie Holloway back in the prem, it doesn't feel right without West Ham.

To be honest i was wondering why you stopped writing about QPR? As opposed to being a GRRR i thought they were funny and for the most part, not to far off the mark. Missed them off the Newsnow feed!

Cheers Rs, I was enjoying the banter but News Now woke up to the fact that QPR were in the Prem sometime in March and my posts stopped hitting your board. Without the audience, there wasn't much point in posting. But things have unfolded just as I predicted, and I said you would SURVIVE by the skin of your teeth. Here's hoping I'm right on that one too!
